The first episode of Koffee With Karan 8 aired yesterday; the first guests of this season were Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone and it won’t be wrong to say that it was a perfect start to the new season.
What made this episode special was the fact that Ranveer and Deepika not only showed the recording of their wedding ceremony but they also talked their hearts out about their partners.
The host of the show, Karan Johar was happy for both of them and he also got a little emotional as he was single and lonely. Karan Johar also wished that things work for him and he also has a story to tell as in the present times, he feels lonely despite having mother and kids because he doesn’t have someone to hold hands, to wake up with and spend life together.
In the words of Karan Johar, “I am not in a relationship and I am kind of single. It just makes me feel like what I am losing out on not being in one. You don’t have a partner of your own to share the nothings of your day with. And every day, I wake up and a little part of me feels that vacuum.”
He further added, “I have my kids and mom but when I see this and I see you, and I know relationships are tough, but that soul connection with a person that you can wake up with, hold their hand and see your day through tough times… I don’t think I’ve had a moment like this on my own show. I felt so happy for you and I felt so alone yet. I hope this manifests into, I hope I have a story to tell. The happiness and joy I saw, and I know it’s not easy.”
