The India Art Fair is a hub for creativity, cultural exchange, and social discourse. BMW India supports cultural resonance and artistic brilliance in this world of limitless imagination. BMW India has supported the show for eight years because they believe art can change society.

This passion goes beyond sponsoring. BMW India celebrates art and pushes cultural boundaries. This commitment is shown by “The Future is Born of Art” commission. BMW India helps budding artists succeed by giving them a stage. The BMW Art Talk, “Through the Looking Glass,” featured famous artists like Anita Dube, Barthélémy Toguo, and Jitish Kallat, hosted by Prof. Dr. Thomas Girst, Global Head of BMW Group Cultural Engagement. The Kochi-Muziris Biennale, which BMW India has supported since 2012, has been directed by Dube and Kallat.

Arts Create the Future: Forwardism and Artistic Vision

The third edition of “The Future is Born of Art.” was released this year. The commission showcases BMW India’s dedication to artistic expression and cutting-edge technology, inspired by “Forwardism,” a notion of progress and innovation. The first fully electric BMW i7 sedan, a symbol of BMW’s commitment to sustainability and mobility, is the centerpiece of this edition.

This renowned award is now held by Sashikanth Thavudoz, following Faiza Hasan and Devika Sundar. His winning installation, “Symphony of Nature: The Harmonic Forest,” effortlessly mixes lighted lights and wood blocks to create a holistic sensory experience. This installation goes beyond aesthetics to show Thavudoz’s commitment to responsible innovation. It shows artistic vision throughout revolutionary change by emphasizing the delicate balance between natural and synthetic elements vital to our future.

Thavudoz’s success shows the tough selection process. HRH Radhikaraje Gaekwad (renowned patron and conservationist), Jaya Asokan (director of India Art Fair), Veeranganakumari Solanki (esteemed curator), and Sameer Kulavoor (contemporary artist) judged all submissions and chose Thavudoz’s innovative work.

Beyond the Exhibition: BMW Collectors Lounge

The India Art Fair is creatively charged. As a contrast, the BMW Collectors Lounge is a luxurious retreat. In the middle of artistic inspiration, clients and connoisseurs can relax and contemplate the art around them. Elegant luxury and hospitality embody fine living, creating an unforgettable experience that enhances the fair’s appeal.

Commitment to Innovation and Creativity

BMW India’s India Art Fair cooperation goes beyond sponsoring. It represents a deep commitment to embracing the transformative power of art and culture. “The Future is Born of Art” and the BMW Collectors Lounge demonstrate BMW India’s commitment to creativity and innovation. They empower emerging artists to push boundaries, dream big, and leave a legacy by providing a forum for artistic expression.
