Kangana Ranaut is all set to take a significant leap in her career as she gears up for her Hollywood debut. According to a leading publication, the acclaimed actress will headline the upcoming horror drama Blessed Be the Evil. The story centers around a Christian couple grappling with grief after a tragic miscarriage. In an attempt to start afresh, they move to a seemingly quiet, abandoned farm—only to discover it harbors a sinister past. Their love and faith are soon put to the ultimate test by a dark, malevolent force.

Produced by Lions Movies, the film will also feature Teen Wolf actor Tyler Posey and Scarlet Rose Stallone alongside Kangana. Directed by Anurag Rudra, the film draws from the haunting folklore of rural India. “Being born and spending my childhood in rural India, I was told stories that got embedded in my mind and heart,” said Rudra, offering insight into the film’s inspiration. “This folklore was so special that I truly believed in all the stories, and wanted to showcase them internationally through the art of cinema – the strongest and most beautiful way to connect to dreams and reality.”

The film is expected to begin production this summer in New York. According to reports, U.S. locations were deliberately selected to sidestep potential uncertainties linked to recently announced Trump-era industry tariffs.

Kangana Ranaut was last seen in Emergency, a historical political drama released on January 17, where she portrayed former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film, which she also directed, revisited the 21-month Emergency period imposed from 1975 to 1977—a chapter often cited as one of India’s darkest. With her Hollywood venture now underway, Kangana continues to diversify her artistic journey across borders and genres.
