Kapil Sharma Makes A Big Revelation; Coldplay Contacted Them To Come On Show But…

The ace comedian, Kapil Sharma is all set to make a grand comeback with Season 3 of The Great Indian Kapil Show on OTT, and the excitement among fans is already soaring. During the official announcement, the comedian entertained the audience with his signature humor, shared a glimpse of what’s to come, and dropped an unexpected revelation—British band Coldplay had once expressed interest in appearing on the show.

Coldplay, known for their electrifying concerts in India and a dedicated fan following, reportedly reached out via email, wanting to be a part of the comedy series. Recalling the moment in his usual witty style, Kapil Sharma said, “We told the makers to keep the set ready all year round. You won’t believe it—while people were rushing to buy Coldplay tickets, we received an email from them saying they wanted to come on our show. I told them, ‘You should have come, but unfortunately, our show wasn’t running at the time.’ So now, it’s a humble request to Netflix—please keep the show going.”

The laughter didn’t stop there. When Maniesh Paul asked what fans could expect from the new season, Kapil took a lighthearted dig at his past controversies, including his infamous fallout with co-star Sunil Grover. “Season 3 might be a big deal for the audience, but for us, it’s just another episode. We’re used to doing long-running shows with over 200 episodes, and we don’t usually stop—unless, of course, we get into a fight ourselves,” he joked.

The previous seasons of The Great Indian Kapil Show featured Kapil at the helm, alongside a stellar lineup including Archana Puran Singh, Kiku Sharda, Rajiv Thakur, Krushna Abhishek, and Sunil Grover. With the new season on the horizon, fans are eagerly waiting to see what fresh entertainment and hilarious moments Kapil and his team have in store.
