Karan Johar Reveals With Which Bollywood Couple His Movie RARKPK Is Inspired

The famous producer-director Karan Johar is currently enjoying the success of his last release Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani which starred Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in important roles. The movie impressed the audiences in a big manner and it was quite special for KJo as he returned to direction after a long period of 7 years with RARKPK.

Recently during an interview, Karan Johar revealed that he always called Sanjay Leela Bhansali after his movie releases but Bhansali never called him after the release of his movie and the same thing happened this time as well. However, Karan Johar was very happy as this time he received calls from many other filmmakers after Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani hit the theatres

During the interview, Karan Johar also disclosed that he may have taken inspiration from a Bollywood couple while creating his characters Rocky and Rani, however he didn’t do it intentionally.

That Bollywood couple is Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna and this is what KJo said about it, “Maybe subconsciously. They have a tremendous friendship in their marriage. I’ve had dinners with them, meals with them, hung out with them. And there’s a terrific kind of comfort in their camaraderie. He finds her hilarious, she finds him hilarious, for different reasons. So I felt it wasn’t impossible for people who come from two different demographics of society, two stratas, to actually find love. It’s like we put ourselves in boxes. Like when we’re finding a relationship, we put ourselves in places where we’re comfortable. But tomorrow, you can fall in love with someone anywhere.”

How did you find Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani? Did you like the movie?
