Kareena Kapoor Khan, the Bollywood actress, has given many memorable and wonderful performances in movies but people mostly talk about her acting in Jab We Met in which she played the character of chirpy and talkative girl, Geet.
Jab We Met was directed by Imtiaz Ali and people loved the chemistry of on-screen couple Kareena and Shahid Kapoor who were also off-screen couple at that time but Kareena is a little annoyed as she feels that because of Geet, people don’t take notice of her other superb acting performances which she gave in Omkara, Chameli, Heroine, etc.
This is what she said in an interview regarding the constant talk about Jab We Met, “Of course it will always be compared to Poo and Geet; they are iconic, I understand. Everyone is going to compare. But I feel like people should talk about Chameli, Omkara, and Heroine; they are pretty underrated in terms of my performance, and Yuva too. Why don’t people talk about that? I understand that in an actor’s life, people kind of pick the parts. I am also doing The Devotion of Suspect X; that’s a very different kind of spectrum for me.”
Kareena Kapoor further calls Jab We Met ‘ghar ki khichdi’ as she says, “Of course, Jab We Met is ‘ghar ki khichdi’; you see it again and again; there’s always something new; it doesn’t seem like an old film. That’s a rarity; every time you watch it, it’s like you are watching it for the first time. It’s just the character.”
Do you agree with Kareena?
