Chatraraja Hattiholi, a Congress politician and member of the Legislative Council, has been officially accused by the Karnataka Police of assaulting Prithvi Singh, the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Sujith Jadhav and Saddam, two of Hattiholi’s close aides, are also included in the Belagavi police file pertaining to the stabbing event.
Prithvi Singh, also known as Phupinder Singh Ludhar, was approached on Monday outside his Jayanagar Hindalga house in Belagavi by someone brandishing a sharp weapon. He added that Hattiholi was the one who plotted the attack.
A complaint against MLC Hattiholi, Saddam, Sujit Jadhav, and Hattiholi’s two gunmen has been filed, according to Phubinder Singh, Prithvi Singh’s son.
Intentional insult with intent to cause a breach of peace (504), criminal intimidation (506), voluntary harm (323, 324), theft (379), illegal assembly (IPC 143), rioting (147), carrying a lethal weapon (148), and other pertinent crimes are among the charges.
