MS Dhoni added another golden chapter to his Indian Premier League legacy with a remarkable piece of wicketkeeping that saw him complete his 200th dismissal in the tournament. The historic moment came during the match between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings in Lucknow on Monday, when he executed a sharp stumping to send Ayush Badoni back to the pavilion.

With this milestone, Dhoni becomes the first player in IPL history to achieve 200 dismissals behind the stumps. He already held the top spot on the list, maintaining a significant lead over his closest competitor, Dinesh Karthik, who stands at 182 dismissals. Dhoni reached the record courtesy of a clever piece of work off Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling, once again showcasing his sharp reflexes and unmatched game sense.

Another notable name on the list is Rishabh Pant, who made his IPL debut in 2016. Having spent close to a decade with the Delhi Capitals—where he eventually rose to the captaincy—Pant has now transitioned to a new chapter with the Lucknow Super Giants. His leadership seems to have flourished, as he continues to find his rhythm in his latest role.

Currently, Dhoni is leading the Chennai Super Kings for the remainder of the season, stepping in after regular captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was sidelined due to an elbow injury.
