Loveyapa Box Office Day 1: Junaid Khan & Khushi Kapoor’s Film Opens with ₹1.25 Crore

Loveyapa’s first day at the box office brought in Rs 1.25 crore for the Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor film. Loveyapa, the highly awaited first movie starring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, opened in theaters on February 7 and has already generated box office receipts.

The rom-com, which marked both young actors’ maiden theater outing, made around Rs 1.25 crore, according to early estimates from Sacnilk.com. The movie had an increase in attendance by evening and night despite a sluggish start in the morning presentations.

Advait Chandan’s Loveyapa didn’t have a single release and was up against a lot of competition from other movies, such as Badass Ravikumar, which came out on the same day. It also had to battle with leftover releases like Deva and Sky Force, which brought in about Rs 80 lakh and Rs 85 lakh, respectively. Despite this, Loveyapa did better than both previous movies, suggesting a positive beginning.

Loveyapa Movie Review!
Because of its star power, the film has been making waves in the entertainment sector. Khushi Kapoor, the daughter of the late great actress Sridevi, and Junaid Khan, the son of Bollywood icon Aamir Khan, have drawn much attention for their first roles. Loveyapa generated excitement with its star-studded Mumbai screening on Wednesday before its theatrical release. Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan attended the event, which increased the anticipation for the movie before its release.

Actors such as Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt also supported the film

Both actors had their film debut on OTT, but this is their first theatrical release. Last year, Junaid made his screen debut in the digitally released movie Maharaj. In contrast, Khushi was a key character in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, which debuted on OTT in 2023.

While Loveyapa’s opening figures are modest, trade analysts believe the film’s growth in evening and night showings suggests positive word-of-mouth and could pave the way for a strong weekend collection. The days ahead will decide whether it can maintain momentum and generate a healthy first-week box office haul.

After a week of release, the picture will have to contend with fierce competition from films like Vicky Kaushali’s historical drama Chhaava and Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World. The Valentine’s Day weekend marks the release of both movies.
