The popular adventure-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi, hosted by Rohit Shetty, may not be returning for a new season. Rumours about the show’s possible cancellation have been gaining momentum after reports surfaced that production house Banijay Asia decided to exit the project. In the midst of these developments, actress Gulki Joshi, known for her role in the comedy-drama Maddam Sir, shared her disappointment during an interview, expressing hope that the show would not be scrapped.

In an interview, Gulki Joshi disclosed that she was initially approached by the makers of Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 but heard nothing further from them. She said, “I was really interested, and they only contacted once, just to ask me whether I was interested or not. After that, there was no more interaction, but I had only been seeing the news, so I was unsure whether it was true or a rumour, and whether I was doing the show or not. As I just had one conversation with them, there has been no update.”

Explaining her silence amidst the swirling reports of her participation, Gulki added, “Maybe that is why they haven’t responded to me—because of all these uncertainties. I really hope it doesn’t get scrapped, and I’m extremely excited to participate in it. I had been eagerly waiting for it, which is why I didn’t confirm or react to the news earlier.”

Meanwhile, new information reported by a news portal suggests that the chances of Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 taking off are slim. A source close to the show revealed that multiple factors are influencing the possible cancellation. Colors TV, the channel airing the show, reportedly wanted to move its traditional May airing slot to later in the year, a shift that did not sit well with the production house. Adding to the complications, finding suitable dates with host Rohit Shetty has proven difficult due to his packed schedule. As a result, the new season is now likely to be shelved.

Alongside Gulki Joshi, several other celebrities were rumoured to be in talks for the upcoming season, including Erica Fernandes, Surbhi Jyoti, Digvijay Singh, Mallika Sherawat, Elvish Yadav, Baseer Ali, Chum Darang, Siddharth Nigam, among others.

Fans now eagerly await an official confirmation, hoping that the beloved reality show can find a way to return to screens.
