The talented actor Manoj Bajpayee is all set for the release of his next movie, Bhaiyya Ji which will release on 24 May and during one of his interviews, he also talked about the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide at his flat in Bandra in June 2020, Manoj and Sushant worked together in Sonchiriya and during the interview, Manoj stated, “Main jo mutton bana ke khilata tha set pe, uska deewana tha. Basically, toh Bihari tha woh. Aur jo meat bhaat hum log khaate the, main banaata tha, kayi baar khaya usne” (I used to treat people on the set by cooking mutton, he (Sushant Singh Rajput) loved it. Basically, he was also a Bihari. And I prepared the meat and rice that we ate, he also ate several times).
Manoj said that he talked to Sushant 10 days before his suicide as Sushant wanted to visit Manoj’s house and have meat curry and Manoj convinced him that he would invite him soon.
Talking about Sushant’s suicide, Manoj said “I was, like everyone, who were close to him, were shocked and shattered, I was one of them. I just couldn’t believe it.”
He further said, “Abhi bhi. Main believe nahi kar paata hun, do logon ke mrityu ko lekar ke. Ek Sushant ke aur ek Irrfan ke (Even now. I can’t believe the death of two people. One of Sushant’s and one of Irrfan’s). It was too early. It’s difficult to come to terms with them going away.”
Yes it was really too early in both the cases. RIP.
