Mitchell Marsh In Legal Trouble For Keeping Feet On ODI World Cup 2023 Trophy

The Australian cricket team headed by Pat Cummins won the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 on 19 November 2023 after defeating team India in the final match which was played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

After that, a photo went viral in which Australian cricketer Mitchell Marsh was seen lounging while keeping feet on the World Cup trophy. Many online users slammed Mitchell Marsh for disrespecting the trophy and now a person named Pandit Keshav Dev has filed a police complaint against Mitchell Marsh in Delhi Gate Police Station, Aligarh.

Pandit Keshav Dev is said to be the President of Bhrashtachar Virodhi Sena and this is what Superintendent of Police (City) Mrigank Shekhar told mediapersons, “A complaint has been received. But so far, a case has not been registered, and further procedures will follow only after receiving a report from the cyber cell.”

Pandit Keshav Dev has accused Mitchell Marsh of insulting the trophy and the people of India as the trophy was handed over to the Aussie team by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
