Royal Challengers Bangalore may have made a great comeback in the league stage but they were not able to continue their winning streak in the eliminator and they got knocked out of the tournament after getting defeated by Rajasthan Royals by 4 wickets.
It was quite obvious that RCB fans and players were very disappointed but there was one more reason because of which they were sad and that was the retirement of Dinesh Karthik from the IPL.
DK, as his fans call him, played some wonderful innings for his team and it won’t be wrong to say that he was the finisher that RCB was searching for a long time. Though DK hasn’t talked about this openly, the manner in which the RCB players embraced him, gave him guard of honour and the manner in which DK thanked the spectators in the stadium, it was quite clear that he had played his last match of the tournament.
While some lauded him for his performances, there were few who took this as a chance to troll Dhoni as there is a huge suspense over his future in the IPL.
