After being airlifted in an emergency, Kokilaben Ambani, the mother of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and Reliance ADA Group chief Anil Ambani, was taken to HN Reliance Foundation Hospital late Thursday night.
Sources claim that Kokilaben Ambani (91), who renowned physicians are treating, was admitted to the hospital because of age-related ailments. The Ambani family has not yet released an official statement, and details regarding her health status are still unknown.
Mukesh Ambani arrived at Kalina airport shortly after her admission and hurried to the hospital.
Kokilaben is regarded as the matriarch of one of India’s most powerful business dynasties. She was the wife of the late businessman and founder of Reliance Industries, Dhirubhai Ambani. She was born in Jamnagar, Gujarat, on February 24, 1934, and has been instrumental in supporting the family during India’s social and economic changes over the years.
She has four children: Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani, Nina Kothari, and Dipti Salgaocar.
