Nikhil Dwivedi Opens Up On Abhishek-Aishwarya’s On-Set Behaviour

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are iconic names in the Hindi film industry, admired for their talent and on-screen chemistry in films like Dhoom 2, Umrao Jaan, and Kuch Naa Kaho. Despite their illustrious careers, recent rumors surrounding their relationship have drawn attention. Actor-producer Nikhil Dwivedi, a close friend and co-star of Abhishek from Raavan, recently addressed these speculations during an interview.

In the interview, Nikhil commended Abhishek and Aishwarya for their unwavering professionalism on set, emphasizing that their personal relationship never interfered with their work. He remarked,

“Shaadi shuda miyan biwi hai toh miyan biwi toh rahenge hi. Humne bhi unhein kabhi alag nahi dekha.” (Since they were a married couple, they stayed together. We didn’t see them separate from each other).

He also dismissed any claims of unprofessional behavior, stating, “If you are saying were they any less professional, no they were not. They were extremely professional, and I think, yeah, they were a couple.”

For months, rumors about Abhishek and Aishwarya’s marital issues have circulated. Media reports have suggested a potential divorce and hinted at disagreements between Aishwarya and her in-laws. These speculations intensified when Aishwarya and her daughter Aaradhya arrived separately at the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, while the rest of the Bachchan family attended together.

Further fueling the rumors, no members of the Bachchan family publicly wished Aishwarya on her 51st birthday, raising questions about potential tensions. Despite these narratives, neither Aishwarya nor the Bachchan family has commented, choosing to maintain a dignified silence.

On the professional front, Aishwarya was last seen in the Tamil blockbuster Ponniyin Selvan: II (2023). She has yet to announce her next project. Meanwhile, Abhishek has a packed schedule. He is set to appear in Shoojit Sircar’s I Want to Talk and will also feature in Housefull 5, slated for release in the first half of 2025.
