Novak Djokovic Slams Audiences For Booing Him After Lengthy Win

Novak Djokovic gives a savage response to audiences’ disrespectful behaviour

The Serbian professional tennis player Novak Djokovic is one of the most popular tennis players of the world and recently he got a little angry over the French audiences as he was booed by them during the match which he played against Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.

This was Novak Djokovic’s longest straight set win in a Grand slam tennis match as he defeated the 29 seed tennis player by 7-6, 7-6 and 6-2 and the match was played for 3 hours and 2 minutes. The Serbian tennis player took a medical timeout after the end of the second set as he wanted a massage on his left leg and it was then the crowd booed him and in response, Novak clapped and gave them thumbs up.

This is what the Serbian professional tennis player said after the match in a media interaction, “A majority of the people comes to enjoy tennis or support one or the other player. But they are individuals. There are people – there are groups or whatever – that love to boo every single thing you do. That’s something that I find disrespectful and I frankly don’t understand that. But it’s their right. They paid the ticket. They can do whatever they want.”

In regard to the response that he gave to the crowd, he said, “At times, you know, I will stay quiet. Not ‘at times’ – actually, 99% of the time, I will stay quiet. Sometimes I will oppose that, because I feel when somebody is disrespectful, he or she deserves to have an answer to that. That’s what it is all about.”
