On the eve of the highly anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 final, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar has voiced his strong desire to clinch the coveted title for their star batsman, Virat Kohli.

The summit clash against the Punjab Kings is scheduled for Tuesday, June 3rd, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Kohli, a stalwart of RCB since the league’s inception and the current leading run-scorer in IPL history, has been instrumental for the team, topping their run charts this season as well.

Addressing reporters in Ahmedabad prior to the final, Patidar, who is set to become the fourth captain to lead RCB in an IPL final, following in the footsteps of Anil Kumble, Daniel Vettori, and Virat Kohli himself, emphasized the team’s motivation.

He stated, “We will try and win this (IPL 2025 final) for him. He has done so well for India and RCB over the years.” Patidar’s sentiment underscores the deep respect and admiration within the RCB camp for Kohli’s contributions and the collective aspiration to finally bring the IPL trophy to Bengaluru.
