Actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times at his Bandra residence on Thursday morning during a robbery attempt. His elder son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, rushed him to Lilavati Hospital in an auto-rickshaw as he was bleeding heavily and the car was not ready due to the unavailability of the driver at that moment.
Ibrahim, 23, assisted his injured father into the three-wheeler to avoid losing time. The hospital was nearly two kilometres away from their residence.
Saif Ali Khan sustained six stab injuries, including two deep wounds, with one located near his spine. The robbery escalated into a scuffle when the thief attempted to enter his son’s room. A video captured moments after the incident showed Khan’s wife, actor Kareena Kapoor Khan, standing near the auto-rickshaw and speaking to the house staff.
Following the attack, Khan underwent surgery to remove a knife fragment from his body and is now recovering in the ICU. His team released a statement confirming that the actor is out of danger and being closely monitored by doctors.
