Salman Khan Says He’s ‘Below-Average’ Compared To SRK, Aamir Khan: Salman Khan is certainly one of the biggest superstars of the Indian film industry and he has given many hit movies over the years since his debut in Bollywood which took place in the year 1998. However, the Wanted actor feels that he is just a below-average actor and less hard-working in comparison to his contemporaries – Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, etc.
In an old episode of Koffee with Karan, Salman Khan said, “There’s Shah Rukh, Akshay, Hrithik. These guys are really hard-working. Everybody. See, we used to take it very easy earlier. In fact, I perhaps till today would be the least hard working among all of them and the least serious among all of them.”
In response to KJo’s question whether he doesn’t think he has worked hard to achieve, Salman says that he is just lucky and gifted.
Talking about his contemporaries, Salman Khan said, “I think that the romantic scene that Shah Rukh does and his intensity, I don’t think anybody can touch him in that. Then Aamir. His sincerity is amazing. His ability to give 100% in every shot.”
He further said, “Akki (Akshay Kumar), he’s the only actor from the time we’ve come in… We’re all stagnant. We get about 5-10% of our achievement. You take all our films, we’re exactly the same as earlier. Akshay Kumar is the only actor who has grown. His comic timing is on a different level right now.”
When KJo asked him about the younger generation, Salman praised Ranbir, Ranveer, Arjun and Imran and said that all of them have done good work.
Salman further said, “If I had to start off right now, I would not get a job even in television. These good looks you’re (Karan) talking about are all because of the roles like Prem, Radhe and Suraj and all that stuff that I have done. It was the screen images. Otherwise, if I go to someplace where no one knows me, nobody will take a second glance at me. It’s the movies, it’s the image. I exaggerated a little, I’m being modest and humble.”
