‘Scary’: Rashmika Mandanna Reacts After Alia Bhatt’s Deepfake Video Goes Viral

Rashmika Mandanna, the actress will be next seen in Animal which is slated to release on 1 December 2023 and currently she is promoting the movie with the team. While Ranbir Kapoor has played the male lead in the movie, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, etc. will also be seen in important roles.

During an event, Rashmika Mandanna talked about deepfake videos and called them scary. She stated, “Deepfakes have been around for a while and we’ve normalised them but it isn’t okay. I always wondered who would even care if I chose to speak up and point out that it isn’t okay. So, I’m glad people from across the film industries have supported me. I understand now how important it is to speak up. I want to urge women to take the help they need when it happens.”

A deepfake video of Rashmika Mandanna also went viral sometime back in which her face was edited over the body of a British influencer. After that, deepfake videos of Katrina Kaif and Kajol also went viral and the latest victim of deepfake is Alia Bhatt. In the video, Alia Bhatt’s face has been edited on the body of another woman who is sitting on bed and making gestures towards the camera.

Deepfake is certainly scary, what do you think?
