Shahid Kapoor has given many hit movies in his career including Imtiaz Ali directed Jab We Met which released in 2007 and starred Kareena Kapoor Khan in the female lead. During the shooting of the movie, Shahid and Kareena were in a relationship but after some time, they broke up and many hearts got broken as their fans wanted to see them getting married.
Well, fans are still hoping to see the sequel of Jab We Met despite the fact that now it is almost impossible to bring Shahid and Kareena together for a film. However, speculations regarding the sequel increased after Shahid Kapoor gave a hint in the month of June that he may associate with Imtiaz Ali for a flick.
However, now Imtiaz Ali has cleared the air regarding the sequel as he said in an interview, “No, it’s not happening. I don’t have a story for Jab We Met 2 yet. I’ve heard of these and read these reports and articles. Nobody asked me before publishing them, so I don’t know what to say. But let’s see what happens.”
Talking about his next project Chamkila which stars Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra, Imtiaz Ali said, “It’s coming pretty soon. I hope the audience likes it when they see it. Shooting for Chamkila felt like a very different experience as a filmmaker. It involved a lot of unlearning, which is why I felt very fresh while making it and I’m sure that the audience will also witness that once they watch it.”
Well, no need to wait for the sequel of Jab We Met as it’s not happening, at least not any sooner!
