Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Uddhav Thackeray have responded to the court’s comments, saying that democracy was murdered in the country and the decision of the Supreme Court will decide the future of the country.
Today, the Supreme Court said many things on the political developments of the last year in Maharashtra. With this, the court referred the matter to a larger bench. Meanwhile, the court also questioned the role of the Governor in this entire episode.
The court said that the governor cannot play the role of solving internal or external disputes of the party by coming into the political arena. The court said that the Governor’s decision to conduct the floor test was wrong.
“That time I did what was right”
At the same time, after this, a big statement of the then Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari has come to the fore. He said that what I did at that time was right. How can I refuse if someone is resigning?
He said that now he is free from that responsibility and keeps himself away from political issues. Koshyari said that he is not a knowledgeable and student of law. If the Supreme Court has said anything on this issue, then experts can discuss it, not me.
“I resigned to fight for the people”
At the same time, Uddhav Thackeray has given his reaction after all these comments of the Supreme Court. Thackeray said that democracy was murdered in the country. The role of the governor was wrong.
The decision of the Supreme Court will decide the future of the country. Thackeray said that the governor did not have the right to call a floor test. Uddhav Thackeray said that now the speaker should not take much time to pronounce the verdict.
I am sure that the people of Maharashtra are with me. Uddhav said that I had resigned for the fight of the people. Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said that it is our job to protect democracy in this country.
