The Indian television has given us many beautiful comedy serials which have brought smiles on our faces for quite a few years and even today if we start thinking about them, it makes us laugh.
One such serial is Tu Tu Main Main which starred Reema Lagoo and Supriya Pilgaonkar in lead roles. It was directed by Sachin Pilgaonkar and was aired for around 6 years on television.
The show which was about the arguments and hilarious banters between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law was loved by audiences and the good news is that the director Sachin is planning to make a comeback on the small screen but with a twist.
Sachin said in an interview that the team is looking forward to bring the show back and this time, Supriya won’t be daughter-in-law but she will be the mother-in-law.
Reema Lagoo who played the role of mother-in-law in the original series passed away in 2017 and the show is coming back after 23 years so it is quite obvious that there will be some big changes in the serial.
Talking about the audiences in whose memories the show is still alive, Sachin said, “This generation must have been in school when the show used to be aired and have grown up watching it.”
Sachin also confirmed that he is planning to bring the show back on OTT and not on TV as he said, “I wouldn’t like to bring the show on television. I would prefer an OTT platform and we’re very open as far as the platform is concerned.”
