Bollywood actor Salman Khan was once in a steady relationship with actress Sangeeta Bijlani and the two were even set to get married. However, the relationship took an unexpected turn when Salman became involved with actress Somy Ali. Somy recently opened up about this chapter in her life, confirming rumors that Sangeeta had caught Salman at her house.
In an interview, Somy Ali confirmed the long-standing speculation. “Yes, that’s absolutely true,” Somy said, recounting how Salman used to visit her secretly. She shared, “Salman khan used to climb the pipes and come through my window. I found it romantic at the time.” She recalled that on one particular morning, around 10:30 am, Salman was at her place when Sangeeta suddenly walked in. “Salman was still with Sangeeta, and their wedding cards had even been printed,” Somy revealed.
When Sangeeta discovered them together, she gave Salman an ultimatum. “She looked at Salman and said, ‘This is it. You have to make a choice,’” Somy said. Salman then left the room, telling Somy he would be back in 10 minutes. Somy assumed he would choose to marry Sangeeta, given their impending wedding. However, when Salman returned, he told Somy that he had broken up with Sangeeta and wanted to be with her instead. Somy said, “I felt like it was fate.”
Somy also revealed that she sensed her relationship with Salman was coming to an end when he worked with Aishwarya Rai in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. According to her, she knew it was time to “pack her bags” once Salman’s involvement with Aishwarya began.
