On Saturday morning, Sona Mohapatra took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to criticize singer and music composer Vishal Dadlani for supporting the female CISF officer who was accused of slapping and abusing actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut. Kangana reported earlier this week that she was mistreated during the security check at the Chandigarh airport by a female CISF official. In the Stories section of Instagram, Vishal posted a message after the incident that said, “I don’t ever support violence, but I absolutely understand this CISF personnel’s anger.” If the CISF takes any action against her, I will make sure that she has a job waiting for her, should she decide to take it. “Jai Kisaan, Jai Hind, and Jai Jawaan.”

On a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket, Kangana won the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 from the Mandi seat in Himachal Pradesh. In the Lok Sabha elections, she garnered 537,022 votes, whereas Vikramaditya Singh, the candidate for the Congress party, received 462,267 votes.
