The beautiful actress Sonakshi Sinha got married to her boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal last month and before that, she was seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi which was released on a digital platform.
Sonakshi Sinha is thankful to Sanjay Leela Bhansali for casting her for the role of Fareedan as she feels that it is after Heeramandi that people started taking her seriously.
In a recent interview, she stated, “I am very happy that someone imagined me. Sanjay Sir saw me in that kind of role. I am grateful to him. Also, I have been saying for a long time that I am interested in playing negative or villainous characters. Until he cast me for Fareedan, no one took me seriously. So I am grateful to him. As an actress, it is great to take on such challenges and do something different. How long will you play the role of a common girl, girlfriend, or loving wife? It was very fun for me to play that kind of role.”
The web series also starred Manisha Koirala, Shekhar Suman, Richa Chaddha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal Mehta, etc. in important roles.
