Sonu Nigam has once again voiced his frustration over a fake X (formerly Twitter) account impersonating him. Taking to Instagram, the singer expressed deep concern over the account, which operates under the name Sonu Nigam Singh and even holds a verified status. This isn’t the first time he has addressed the issue. Last year, the impersonator sparked controversy by making political statements, a situation Sonu found alarming. At the time, he had already raised concerns about the potential risks to his and his family’s safety.
The problem has resurfaced, and this time, Sonu Nigam did not hold back in his criticism. He emphasized the serious consequences a single controversial post from the fake account could have on his life. Expressing his frustration, he called out the authorities and law enforcement for their lack of action, stating that their silence only adds to his distress.
Along with his message, he shared a screenshot of the fraudulent account, making it clear that he has no presence on X. In his post, he questioned how such an impersonation could be allowed to continue, warning that false statements made under his name could put his family in danger. He also condemned the press, government, and law enforcement agencies for their inaction, sarcastically remarking that they seem to be waiting for something tragic to happen before offering their condolences.
Despite repeatedly addressing the issue, no concrete action has been taken against the impersonator. Sonu Nigam’s latest outburst highlights the growing concerns over online impersonation and the lack of stringent measures to curb such activities.
