Amar Kaushik directed Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 is a box office blockbuster as it has crossed the Rs. 250 crore mark in just 6 days of its release. Despite competing with Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa, Stree 2 emerged as the clear winner during the extended weekend, continuing its strong performance even on Tuesday, a regular working day.
The film raked in Rs 25 crore (early estimates) on Tuesday alone, surpassing the opening day collections of several other movies released this year.As per the reports, Stree 2 has amassed Rs 254.55 crore (net, early estimates) by Day 6. The film is on track to surpass the lifetime box office collection of the Hindi version of Kalki 2898 AD, which released in June and featured stars like Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan. Stree 2 is expected to break that record by this weekend.
On Tuesday, the film saw the highest occupancy in Tier 2 cities like Jaipur, Lucknow and Bhopal, with Delhi-NCR also experiencing strong attendance.
