Suhana Khan redefines tweed, trading its traditional stiffness for a look that’s modern, light, and city-chic. Her most recent appearance showcases Sau Lee, a Hong Kong-based brand celebrated for blending traditional craftsmanship and contemporary shapes.
A high-waisted miniskirt was paired with a cropped, long-sleeved jacket featuring flap pockets, a label signature, and hand-tied white pipa-knot fasteners. The costume, which is cut in tweed with a high split, pays homage to East-meets-West tailoring codes that Sau Lee frequently transforms into evening attire.
In reality, while the look felt much lighter and livelier in person, on paper, the ensemble brought to mind the primness of Chanel’s vintage tweed suits through its structured silhouette and fabric. Instead of looking old-fashioned, the styling gave the tweed outfit a city-chic touch. Mohit Rai added ease with strappy Jacquemus heels that balanced the primness, while the cream Hermès Kelly mini brought iconic luxury without stealing focus from the rest of the look.
Suhana subtle beauty features were peach-gloss lips, mascara-heavy lashes, and a bronzed complexion. The face was framed by loose wisps of hair that were tied back into a high ponytail with ruffled ends for movement. The carefree attitude was reflected even in her blush-pink nails. It landed since it didn’t appear to be overused.
