“This Is Harassment”, Kangana Ranaut Angry Even After Emergency Released Coz…

Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency has stirred controversy in Punjab, facing widespread backlash over allegations of defaming the Sikh community. In response to the outrage, theatre owners across the state have decided not to screen the film.

Adding to the tensions, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Harjinder Singh Dhami has written a letter to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, urging a ban on the movie within the state.

Reacting to the controversy, Kangana Ranaut took to social media to express her frustration. Sharing her thoughts on X (formerly Twitter), she called the situation a “complete harassment of art and the artist.” She stated that reports from multiple cities in Punjab confirmed her film was being blocked from screening. Emphasizing her respect for all religions, Kangana highlighted her personal connection with Sikhism, explaining that she grew up in Chandigarh and had closely observed the faith during her formative years.

Dismissing the allegations as “lies and propaganda,” Kangana accused her critics of attempting to tarnish her reputation and damage the success of Emergency. She stood firm, defending her creative work while calling out the efforts to suppress her film’s release.
