The famous TV serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is currently making headlines for all the wrong reasons as the actress Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal has leveled allegations of sexual harassment against the producer Asit Kumarr Modi, project head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj. Jennifer Mistry has also filed a case in this regard against the three persons stated above.
While Asit Kumarr Modi has denied all the allegations, now Jennifer’s co-actor Mandar Chandwadkar aka Atmaram Tukaram Bhide has also reacted on this matter and he is quite surprised as he says in an interview, “I am wondering why did she do this. I have no clue about what happened between them.”
Earlier in an interview, Jennifer stated that the work environment in the show is not good and it is male chauvinist. This is what Mandar said in regard to this, “It is not a male-chauvinistic place. It’s a happy place with a healthy environment, else, the show wouldn’t have run for so long.”
Jennifer also said in an interview, “Asit Modi has made sexual advances towards me many times in the past. Initially, I ignored all his statements because of fear of losing out on work. But it is enough now I won’t take it anymore.” The actress also alleged that she was fired during her pregnancy and she was harassed mentally and sexually continuously.
On the other hand, the direction team of TMKOC has stated that Jennifer was sacked because of her ‘bad behaviour and indiscipline’ and she was also not serious towards her work. Asit Kumarr Modi stated in an official statement, “We will take legal action as she is trying to defame me and the show both. Since we terminated her services, she is making these baseless allegations.”
Let’s see what happens next?
