Nitesh Tiwari directed Bawaal which stars Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles is getting praised a lot by audiences since its release on OTT. Varun Dhawan even accepted that he has never got so many calls in which people are showering love on him for his performance in the movie.
Recently, the director and the lead actors gave an interview to an entertainment portal in which Varun Dhawan revealed how he handles criticism.
Varun Dhawan accepts that dealing with criticism is still a battle for him. He added, “The cool thing right now would be to say I take it in my stride, it doesn’t affect me, but it does affect me. I have some sleepless nights, I irritate my wife. She gets irritated and I get stuff like ‘it’s okay’.”
He further talked about the advise that he got from late singer KK, he said, “KK told me this, agar aap ko mein ek glass du jisme aadha paani hai and you say, ye mein pakad sakta hu (KK told me this, if I give you a glass filled half with water and you say that you can hold it). It’s like handling criticism and you hold on to it because you’re strong, and you keep holding on to it. After some time your hand is gonna hurt, so the idea is to let go. It’s what he had told me, and I agree.”
Well that’s a great piece of advice, what do you say?
