Varun Dhawan Starrer Baby John’s Collections Are A Matter Of Concern For Makers

Varun Dhawan’s action-packed drama Baby John, directed by Kalees and produced by Atlee, entered theaters with high expectations after generating considerable buzz through its trailer and teaser.

Despite the initial anticipation, the film has struggled to perform well at the box office. Released on December 25th to capitalize on the extended weekend and festive season, the movie has failed to attract audiences in the numbers expected.

As per reports, the film experienced a slight recovery on Sunday following a significant dip after its opening day. On its fifth day, Baby John earned Rs 4.75 crores, pushing its total domestic collection to Rs 28.65 crores. Its net earnings within India amount to Rs 23.9 crores, with a gross domestic total of Rs 28.7 crores. Internationally, the movie brought in an additional Rs 8 crores, bringing its global box office collection to Rs 36.7 crores.

While Baby John marked Varun Dhawan’s best box office opening in five years and achieved the highest opening for a Hindi remake, the film is far from recovering its hefty Rs 160-crore production budget.
