Massey shared with Unfiltered by Samdish that Moeen had embraced Islam at the age of 17, which was supported by their family. Massey also said they were of mixed religious backgrounds — the father was a Christian, and their mother was Sikh. From a young age, Massey witnessed and debated about religion and spirituality.
