August 15 might just be another date on the calendar for the world. But for India, this was the date in the year 1947 when the sacrifices of our freedom fighters bore fruit, as the country won independence on this day. People in India are eagerly awaiting this Sunday as this year the country’s Independence Day is on that day.
In case you are from India and reading it, this article contains three of the best web series you can watch to arouse patriotism on Independence Day. Two of the best web series are based on the life and time of Subhash Chandra Bose who is also known as Netaji by the Indians.
Subhash Chandra Bose (January 23, 1897 – August 18, 1945) was an Indian nationalist whose fierce patriotism earned him a national hero. The epithet Netaji (which means “Respected Leader” in Hindi) was initially applied to Bose in early 1942 by Indian soldiers of the Indische Legion and German and Indian officials in Berlin’s Special Bureau for India. It is now widely used in India.
In Bollywood, Manoj Kumar will be remembered as Bharat Kumar, whose absence could not be filled. His patriotism, though, has now emerged from the movies and can be seen on the OTT site as well.
