World AIDS Vaccine Day 2023: Why is the HIV vaccine yet to be created?

World AIDS Vaccine Day 2023 is being held on May 18 this year. But, the big question is why a vaccine has yet not been created to combat the dreadful disease? To prevent HIV AIDS, it is important to be aware of preventive measures such as an HIV test, testing and treatment for STDs, and having sex with only the one you are married.

World AIDS Vaccine Day was celebrated with an event that was conducted by then-President of the United States Bill Clinton in 1998. In light of the fact that Thursday, May 18, 2023 has been designated as World AIDS Vaccine Day 2023, the significance of making progress toward producing a vaccine against the illness cannot be stressed enough.

However, despite the fact that research into HIV prevention has been going on for the past 42 years, there is still no HIV vaccine available. Therefore, the only way to combat the terrible illness is to take preventative measures.

There is, in the opinion of those who are knowledgeable in the field, one and only one way to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS. In light of these conditions, it is of the utmost importance to be knowledgeable about the preventative methods available against HIV and AIDS.

As a first step, it is strongly suggested that persons have themselves tested for HIV. It is advised that anyone interested in promoting safe sexual practices choose a method that involves less risk and has been determined to be safe by medical professionals.

It is suggested that people get tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and receive treatment for them if they are positive. It is strongly advised that users refrain from taking any medications that are administered through injection. When getting injections or tattoos, it is best to use sterile needles that have been recently sterilized.

Sharing personal grooming items with other people, such as razors, trimmers, and shavers, is something that is strongly discouraged by professionals in the field. Particular focus should be placed on maintaining proper sexual hygiene.

The number of sexual partners should be kept to a minimum, say the experts.
Only the person to whom you are married should be your sexual partner. This is both a moral obligation you owe to yourself and a necessity for your physical wellbeing.
