You can now access your most important conversations easily in Google Messages; Here’s how

Google Messages beta now allows users to pin up to five conversations, allowing them to access their most important conversations easily. The feature also includes an animated emoji feature, which can be activated by sending a single emoji. Google has also improved its chat app functionality, including an updated voice recorder and user profiles.

The beta version of Google Messages, the search engine’s instant messaging program, is receiving a new feature. Users may now pin up to five discussions, which is a significant improvement over the prior restriction of three chats. The pinned conversations will always be shown at the top of the Messages app, making it simpler for users to immediately access their most crucial talks.

Users may long-press on a discussion to pin it, and a bubble with the words “Pin up to 5 conversations” will display. The chat’s state will be indicated by an icon on the right once it has been pinned. Additionally, Messages for the web will sync these bookmarked chats, enabling users to access them from any device without any hassle.

Google Messages is developing a “animated emoji” feature in addition to the pinning tool. However, it appears that sending a single emoji will be the only way to activate the animations—not sending numerous emojis or a mix of text and emojis.

Reddit user BruthaBeige discovered the animated emoji function initially, and Android specialist Mishaal Rahman later learned about it through a tip. Users who appreciate using emoticons to express themselves in communication will find that the inclusion of animated emojis gives communications a fun and lively touch.

Google has already worked to improve the functionality of its chat app. An updated voice recorder user interface for Google Messages was reportedly being developed by the internet giant earlier this year, according to rumors.

Additionally, a new feature that would let users to build their own user profiles within the messaging app was also expected to be introduced by Google, according to a January report.

The latest Google Messages enhancements, which include animated emoticons and the opportunity to pin up to five conversations, are meant to increase user engagement and provide more individualized and creative communication choices.
