The tech-giant Apple has recently opened two retail stores in India, first one in Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai and the second in Select City Walk, Delhi. It was certainly a grand affair as the CEO Tim Cook was in India for this purpose and many celebrities also visited the launch event.
However, today we will talk about neither the launch event nor the beauty and unique designs of the store but the educational qualification and salary of the employees of these stores.
Apple wanted to a give a premium feel to its customers in all the segments because of which some of its employees are engineers and MBA and few of them have completed their education from foreign universities. Some of the employees have been transferred from Middle East and Europe as well.
Total 170 employees are employed in both the stores, they belong to different states and collectively they can speak 25 languages.
Now if we talk about the salaries of these employees, usually a person gets paid Rs. 20-25K for sales job in a retail store. Apple is paying high salaries and some of its employees are getting paid even Rs. 1 Lakh.
Other than high salary, Apple also provides its employees with medical plans, tuition expenses for educational courses, paid leaves, stock grants and employee discounts for buying Apple products.
Now that is a great job, isn’t it?
