Bollywood couple, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot on June 23 in an intimate civil ceremony, followed by a grand reception in the evening. After keeping their relationship private for seven years, the couple has now embraced the public spotlight, proudly displaying their affection for one another.
In a recent candid conversation, the newlyweds reflected on their transition to married life. Zaheer Iqbal humorously shared that he often has to remind himself that they are now married, explaining how he still feels hesitant to hold Sonakshi’s hand in public. “I still keep forgetting that I’m married to Sonakshi. Like when we go out in public, I’m like I can’t hold her hand, and then I realize, ‘Ab to shaadi ho gayi’,” said the Notebook actor.
Sonakshi, on the other hand, shared that despite the official change in their relationship status, it still feels the same as when they first started dating. “It feels like nothing has changed between us. It still feels like how we felt when we began dating seven years back,” she added.
The couple, who come from different religious backgrounds, chose to solemnize their marriage in a civil ceremony, keeping the celebration close-knit and personal.
