The unique aspect of this series is that Virat Kohli scored a century in a test after nearly three years. He was removed for 186 runs, yet despite this, he has risen dramatically in the ICC rankings. His rating has increased to 705 and he is currently ranked 13th.
India has just two batters in the top ten Test batting rankings, with Rishabh Pant remaining at number nine and Rohit Sharma rising to number ten.
According to the ICC Test rankings, Marnus Labuschagne is the best Test batsman, with Steve Smith coming in second.
Rishabh Pant has dropped one spot to ninth, while Rohit Sharma has risen one spot.

In the ICC Test rankings, batters have an average rating of 915, while bowlers have an average rating of 869.
Ravichandran Ashwin has significantly strengthened his lead over James Anderson, while Ravindra Jadeja has firmly established himself as the number one all-rounder in the ratings.
