Aap Ki Adalat: Assam CM speaks on Triple Talaq issue


Himanta Vishwa Sharma, Assam CM and a leader in the BJP, appeared as a guest on the popular Indian TV show ‘Aap Ki Adalat.’  In response to various questions posed by India TV Editor-in-Chief Rajat Sharma, Sharma provided open responses. Himanta Vishwa Sharma, the Chief Minister of Assam and a fiery leader in the BJP, gave a speech on the Uniform Civil Code.

 Himanta Vishwa Sharma, the Chief Minister of Assam, recently made a significant comment regarding the issue of triple talaq.  The minister appeared on the popular show ‘Aap Ki Adalat.’ HE also offered his thoughts on the Uniform Civil Code.

Regarding the matter of the Uniform Civil Code, the Chief Minister of Assam stated as follows: “I believe that after 15 to 20 years from now, every Muslim woman voter will vote for BJP because we have abolished ‘triple talaq,’ and we will definitely Will end polygamy as well.”

The Directive Principles of State Policy in our Constitution make it quite obvious that we ought to bring about a Uniform Civil Code, and it is unquestionably something that we will put into effect.

Himanta Vishwa Sharma also shared his thoughts regarding the problem of madrassas being shut down in the state of Assam. Concerning the topic of madrassas being shut down in the state of Assam, Himanta was quoted as saying, “I want Muslim youth to get a modern education.” I am working to establish a more progressive eco-system for the Muslim community even though it is the responsibility of their families to monitor the type of education that is being given to their children.
