New Zealand fast bowler Lockie Ferguson revealed a ‘patriotic’ form that cricket fans might not be familiar with. Ferguson was talking to the media ahead of the last T20 match of the series against India.

In the third and final T20 International of the series, New Zealand will meet India in Ahmedabad. The outcome of this match will also determine the series winner.

The series is presently knotted at 1-1, and there is no question that the Kiwis, who are on the approach of winning a bilateral series in India for the first time in history, would give everything they have in the next match.

Trent Boult, New Zealand’s most efficient fast bowler, is not on the current squad.

Last year, he declined to accept the central contract. In such a circumstance, it is critical to place greater responsibility on the team’s second fast bowler, Lockie Ferguson.

When asked about the scenario during the pre-match press conference for the last T20 at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Wednesday, Ferguson came out as a nationalist.

Ferguson said he still has a lot of drive to play for the country in key games like the World Cup despite many of his colleagues leaving up central contracts to play rich T20 leagues.

Trent Boult, Martin Guptill, and Jimmy Neesham of New Zealand turned up their core contracts last year to play in T20 leagues throughout the world.
