Meet the girl from a middle class family who built Rs 202 crore HR firm with her hubby

This inspiring story of a young woman’s journey from a middle-class family in Delhi to building a successful HR firm with her husband is a testament to the power of hard work, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit. Through their combined efforts, they have achieved a remarkable Rs 202 crore turnover, showcasing the potential for success in even the most challenging circumstances.

Renu Gulraj was born into a middle-class household in Delhi and began her career as an HR professional at Zenith Computers, earning Rs 3200 per month. She and her husband, Naresh Gulraj, founded Easy Source HR Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in 2005, with a revenue of Rs 202 crore. Easy Source is a staffing and human resources outsourcing firm that offers services like as manpower outsourcing, payroll outsourcing, HR consultancy, and PEO (Professional Employer Organizational) Services. Renu, 49, grew up in Delhi, where her father worked as a draughtsman for the federal government and her mother taught for a while before resigning to care for the family.

Renu was an average student who participated in athletics and earned a BS in Industrial Relations and People Management in 1993. She went to evening college and earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Business Management from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan in Delhi. Renu left Zenith in 1994 to work as a customer service representative at Rahul Malik & Co., a stockbroking business in Delhi. Naresh, a B.Tech graduate, had his own financial services business back then, and he used to visit them.

Renu and Naresh took couple-preneurship to a new level in 2011 when they founded Easy Source HR Solutions Pvt. Ltd, a contract staffing (proprietorship) firm.

The firm provides human resource services to its clients, managing functions like as wages, payrolls, PF, hiring, and firing. They have also grown into PEO (Professional Employer Organization) management, where they operate offices for international clientele. The duo has well defined responsibilities in the firm, with Renu in charge of the teams and Naresh in charge of money.

Renu is a gourmet who has done a baking course, whereas Naresh is a sports fanatic who has played badminton since elementary school. Rahul Gulraj, 23, holds a B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering and works in the supply chain department of Apollo Tyres in Delhi.

“Be honest in your business,” the pair advises aspiring entrepreneurs. “Invest in and care for your employees. And keep an open door policy for ideas and communication.”
