The iconic romantic comedy Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, which originally starred Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Priyanka Chopra, is making headlines once again as speculation builds around a sequel. The film, often celebrated for its humor and star-studded cast, holds a special place in Bollywood’s rom-com legacy.
The buzz has now intensified with emerging reports that actors Varun Dhawan and Kartik Aaryan are being considered for the lead roles in the next chapter. Although fans are eagerly anticipating a formal announcement, there has been no official confirmation yet.
Backing the sequel is producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who also produced the original, directed by David Dhawan. An insider close to the development shared some insight into the project’s early stage: “Sajid is keen on recreating the comedy and chaos of the original, but with a contemporary twist. Kartik and Varun are known for their comic timing, and are frontrunners for the roles. Together, they could be a riot on screen. But the scripting has only begun, and Sajid will take a call on the casting after he is satisfied with the script.”
While scripting is currently underway, the anticipation continues to build as fans wait to see how the beloved classic will be reimagined for a new generation.
