‘Naatu Naatu’ to spell magic with live performance at 95th Oscars

This time around, the entire country is excited about the Oscars since the song ‘NatuNatu’ from India’s ‘RRR’ has been nominated. In such a setting, another significant piece of good news has recently emerged.

The song ‘NaatuNaatu’ from Rajamouli’s film ‘RRR’ has gone viral over the world. The song’s video has been seen over 122 million times on YouTube, and its trademark step has become a TikTok challenge all over the world. Dancers from across the world are now attempting to recreate the acrobatic dance-off. Meanwhile, it has been announced that this song would be played live at the 95th Academy Awards.

The Oscar-nominated song ‘NaatuNaatu’ from SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ will be sung at the 95th Academy Awards, the show’s producers have revealed. The song, with music by MM Keeravani and lyrics by Chandra bose, is one of the most memorable sequences from the action film ‘RRR,’ with its catchy tune and dancing routines by stars Ram Charan and NT Rama Rao Jr.

Rahul Sipligunj and KaalBhairav will make their Oscar debut with the song. Variety said that the cross-cultural success was nominated in the Original Song category along with “This Is a Life” from “Everything Everywhere All at Once”, “Lift Me” from “Black Panther” and “Applause” from “Tell It Like a Lady”.

Rihanna will sing “Lift Me Up,” from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” at the Academy Awards on Sunday. Additional shows will be announced in the coming two weeks. The 95th Academy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will be televised live on ABC worldwide on March 12.

Meanwhile, prior to the Oscars, this song received a worldwide award. ‘NaatuNaatu’ received a Golden Globe for ‘Best Original Song’ in January. Five days later, at the 28th Critics’ Choice Awards, ‘RRR’ received two additional accolades. One for best song and one for best foreign language film. ‘RRR’ and ‘NaatuNaatu’ have been at the top of the global charts since then.

The song was shot on the film’s final schedule. Junior NTR and Ram Charan‘s hook step became popular on social media, and the duo often reproduced the dance step throughout the film’s advertising.

The song was also released in Hindi as ‘Nacho Nacho,’ Tamil as ‘NattuKoothu,’ Kannada as ‘HalliNaatu,’ and Malayalam as ‘Karinthol. Vishal Mishra and Rahul Sipligunj crooned the Hindi version.
