Naseeruddin Shah speaks out on Aryan Khan’s drug case arrest; talks about hating Muslims in India

Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah has spoken  out on Aryan Khan’s arrest in a drug case two years ago. He also talked about hatred against Muslims, saying that the arrest was meant to give a larger message.

According to the Indian film industry’s veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah claims that hating the Muslim community has become a fashion in India. In a promotional interview for his ZEE5 historical drama “Taj: Reign of Revenge,” the 72-year-old actor discussed how the Hindi film industry is reluctant to address significant concerns.

Filmmakers who didn’t care about the general public and created progressive films have existed, he claimed, but the current climate makes it difficult for celebrities and filmmakers to express their opinions.

In a conversation with the media, Naseeruddin Shah brought up the 2021 drug arrest of Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan. Shah responded on Aryan’s arrest by the Narcotics Control Bureau and described it as a “message.” Shah has been a vociferous opponent of the BJP-led national administration.

He claimed that the young man was detained in order to demonstrate that the administration will spare no one. Shah continued, “I think they all are terrified of the money they have to lose and the personal harassment. They all fear personal assaults on them and their families if they come out. Young Aryan Khan’s imprisonment, in my opinion, served as a warning: If we can do this to Shah Rukh Khan, we can do it to anybody, so be on the lookout. The message was that.

One of the most admired and well-known performers in the nation, Naseeruddin Shah, brought up the wrestlers’ current protest against BJP MP and Wrestling Federation Chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who is accused of assaulting several women sexually. The experienced actor claimed that such concerns are known to be ignored by the business.

But when has the Hindi cinema industry ever put on its aprons and taken on a subject that begs to be addressed? Will someone produce a movie about these female wrestlers who won us medals? Will somebody ever have the courage to produce a movie? because they are worried about the consequences. The Hindi cinema business has long kept quiet about significant concerns, so this is nothing new,” he continued.

Shah also mentioned another incident in which he received a travel ticket to Pakistan for speaking his thoughts in the media. The actor referred to the circumstance as “scary” and expressed concern “for the future of the country,” which is “heading backward.”
