The deadline for connecting your PAN card to Aadhaar has been extended. To complete this work, an earlier deadline of March 31, 2023 was set, which has now been extended by three months.

The deadline for linking a PAN card to Aadhaar (Pan-Aadhaar Link) has been extended once more. The date of March 31, 2023 was set early to complete this job. But, it has now been agreed to prolong it for three months. Pan Card and Aadhar Card can now be connected till June 30, 2023. After the Finance Ministry’s decision to extend the deadline for connecting PAN with Aadhaar, it has been plainly stated that if the new established date, 30 June 2023, fails to accomplish this task, your PAN card would be rendered useless.

The Income Tax Department has also published information in this respect via Twitter. The timeframe has been extended to June 30 to provide tax payers more time to complete this crucial activity, according to the tweet. This relief was provided to tax payers three days before the previously set date. Let us inform you that the PAN card has become the most crucial document in today’s world, and it is essential for any of your financial transactions.

Your Pan Card will be cancelled if you do not connect PAN-Aadhaar. If this occurs, cardholders will be unable to participate in mutual funds or stock market investments. Furthermore, in today’s world, from opening a bank account to real estate or any other transaction, the PAN card is the most crucial document. Even if the deadline has been extended, it is preferable to do this task as soon as feasible rather than waiting until the last date.

If you use a deactivated Pan Card as a document for any financial operation, you may be fined up to Rs 10,000. This amount of fine is provided for in Section 272B of the Income Tax Act.
