At the trailer launch of Singham Again, Ranveer Singh explained why his wife and co-star Deepika Padukone was absent from the event. He revealed that Deepika couldn’t attend because she was busy taking care of their newborn daughter.
Ranveer affectionately referred to their baby as “baby Simmba”, connecting it to his character, Simmba, from the Singham franchise.
Ranveer also shared that Deepika was pregnant with their first child during the shooting of the film. He said, “Deepika is busy with the baby, so she couldn’t come. I am on night duty, so I have come. There are so many stars in this film. So, let me tell you, this is my baby’s debut, baby Simmba.”
During the event, Ranveer wished the audience a Happy Diwali on behalf of his family. He said, “So, a Happy Diwali in advance to all of you from Lady Singham, Simmba, and baby Simmba.” This marks a special moment for the couple as they embrace parenthood while starring together in Singham Again, which is set to release during the festive season.
