These consumer tech startups are powering PM Modi’s Make in India campaign

The Government of India established the Make in India initiative to encourage firms to manufacture, design, and assemble products in India. Discover various consumer tech firms that are being created in India for the rest of the globe.

Make in India is a Prime Minister Narendra Modi program announced in 2014 to encourage enterprises to design, manufacture, and assemble products created in India, as well as to reward focused investments in manufacturing. The concept is straightforward: establish a favorable environment for the development of modern infrastructure and the attraction of foreign investment.

To combat the influx of Chinese products into the Indian market, the government decided to establish Atmanirbhar Bharat, followed by a ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign to revitalize Indian companies.

In 2020, Prime Minister Modi launched a Rs 20 lakh crore economic program aimed at making India “self-sufficient.” In addition to supporting Make in India, the emphasis is on boosting local brands and startups, upply networks, and manufacturing so that firms may expand worldwide. Many businesses used technology to create world-class, high-quality goods.

Because of digital marketing and an online presence, they are not confined to Indian markets; they are made in India for the rest of the globe
