Top 10 Celebrity Endorsers: The Most Trusted Faces in Advertising

According to TAM AdEx-Report, celebrity endorsements made up 30 percent of the TV ads that was broadcast between January of 2022 and June of 2022.  Between January and June 22, athletes and television celebrities contributed 11% and 4%, respectively, of the advertising. Celebrities were responsible for more than 80% of the advertising.

The most well-known name, according to the celebrity rankings, was Akshay Kumar. Over all platforms, his daily visibility was 37 hours on average.

Additionally, compared to Apr-Jun ’22, Amitabh Bachchan, Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif and Shah Rukh Khan promoted more enterprises within the July-Sept ’22 timeframe.

Between July and September 22, Big B backed the most items and came in third on the list of ad counts. The top 10 list, which featured six female and four male Bollywood stars, also included Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Sara Ali Khan, Alia Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Kriti Sanon. Together, they were responsible for more than 70% of the advertising.

The top 3 industries for celebrity endorsements are food and drink, personal care and hygiene, and services, according to the statistics. More than 80% of celebrity endorsements are found in sectors including personal care, home goods, building, industrial & land products, healthcare, laundry, and banking, finance, and investing.

In July to September of ’22, male celebrities predominated the F&B sector advertising, while female celebrities predominated the Cleanliness and Personal Care ads. The average celebrity endorsement split between male and female stars was 60:40 for the top 10 industries.
